Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
